I’ve always considered doing this ever since the day after I created this blog (which was WAAAAAAAY back in 2009 just so you know) but my spontaneous obsessive compulsive disorder as well as my site stats e-penis held me back all these years.

And finally, the time has come. Excluding all those other ‘spinoff’ blogs I made which turned out as utter failures and 528 mundane blog posts posted, I am making my first formal migration to a new blog.

You may have already knew of this as I already updated my Twitter link on my profile minutes after I created the new site (or not).

Note that I won’t be migrating any of my existing posts in this blog to my new blog as before. I want to start fresh even if it means I’ll lose my 300 or so views per day following, also another reason of moving is that my capacity limit of images I can upload to WordPress has almost capped to 3GB, and I’m just too lazy to upload to Photobucket or Imageshack as a third party host.

Nyarth dot wordpress dot com (the site you’re on, like, now) will still be up and alive for now for people to backlog/archive my posts (if anyone is willing to that) but will no longer be updated.

The new site is still rather… new, and no, this does not mean I’ll be back to crazy blogging like many months… and years… and moons ago. But don’t worry guys, I still love the animes~

Thanks to mahahaha for pointing this monstrousity out. But even still I like the name so I’ll stick with “Farewell Nyarth” in the long run.

And also sadly I cannot promise to continue the Hayate chapter blogposts I make each week due to the heavy demand of homework I’ve been getting (damn A levels). This comes apparent as I’m forced to drop a few animes this season before I even watch them >_> Now I’m just watching the second seasons/continuations of anime I watched in the past, Haganai and two others that I forgot their names.

TWO CHAPTERS OUT ALREADY? OH DAMN I AM LATE SORRY MY SWEET ANON READERS!

Nagi decides to sell her doujinshi and Maria’s photo book as seperate stand-alone titles, presumably to atone for her capitalist ways of selling. While Maria later is forced to sell her own photo book by herself, Chihaya and Hayate take Nagi to the Tokyo Big Sight in order to set Nagi’s “fire” burning once more. There, they meet Ruka and also where Nagi, determined, vows to surpass her in two months, when the bi-annual Comiket begins at said location. But Ruka is confident that she’ll be able to leave her in the dust in the long run. Meanwhile, as Wataru drops out of Hakuou Academy to focus on growing his family’s business, a new student appears filling in the “student-who-skipped-grades” role.

And so this doujinshi making-arc comes to a bitter close, a bitter open close that is. Seems as though Hata doesn’t want to let this end just yet, as this arc may trod along slowly before the story reaches to AUGUST when NatsuComi begins, and presumably where Nagi and Ruka duke it out in round 2.

So yeah, not particular sense of importance happened in this chapter other than them cheesy remarks from Ruka and Nagi at the end (as pointed out by Hayate lol), rounding off this sub-arc pretty nicely and also the daring cliffhanger of the new Hakuou student replacing Wataru – as we all know, dropped out (and officially giving up on Isumi) to focus on his business (and Saki) a couple of hundred of chapters ago. In fact, actual PLOT DEVELOPMENT made a grand progression this week last week!

Speaking of the new character, by the name of Tsurugino Kayura, I kinda like her character design. Them half closed nondescript eyes resembling Isumi’s, [CHECK], Hata-quality trademark puffy hair structure, [CHECKETY CHECK], and last but not least her sweet DFC [CHECK CHECKA CHEEECK]. Oh and, her overly sized bagpack that reminds me of Wilhelmina from Shana. OH YEAH, DID YOU KNOW THE THIRD SEASONS COMING THIS AUTUMN? OH CRAP, I BETTER REMIND MYSELF OF THE FIRST TWO SEASONS!!!

Not surprising to see ALL 1000 Maria’s photo books sold out. If only Nagi decided to have the photo books as HER doujinshi… also Hata better make a spin off print version of Maria’s photo album *ALLMYMONEY* And after 336 odd chapters Kirika, the super nintendo superintendant of Hakuou Academy, and also her lackey Shion formerly appears in the manga! Note that the last time you’ve probably seen them was in season one of the anime when they had their own anime-original arc – which was FAAAAAABUUUUULOUS~~~~~ and probably one of the greatest anime original fillers OF ALL TIME. Heck I wouldn’t even call it fillers. It’s a masterpiece ^o^

What happens next week this week? Who knows? Well I know since this post is a week late…

It’s a nice soft follow-up filler chapter, calming things down after this year long arc and proceeding to the next said full on arc. In which I’ll cover in a later post.

And at last the shit has finally hit the fan… sort of. Nagi receives yet another good ole slapping on the face of good old harsh reality…

Even though she sold the same amount as Ruka, the buyers were only really interested in the Maria photo album (damn I want one T_T) and just thrown Nagi’s manga in the trash – like it was some filler advertisement that comes with everything nowadays. Frustrated as she is, Hayate runs to her side as the noble butler gentleman (STILL in debt?) and consoles her in a rather blunt way. Reading Ruka’s sweet doujin, she soon comes to realise the difference in her and Ruka, even though they were on the same wavelength; Ruka earnest will focused on the manga and made it so it was readable and understandable with the readers’ enjoyment in mind [ie. the Yamakan], meanwhile, Nagi was all about capitalism (~ho) and creates a lot of buzz and attentionwhoring, producing an exceeding amount of copies hoping to sell thousands and millions and swim in the cash [ie. the SHINBO]. Chiharu appears out of nowhere and encourages Nagi to fight on and pera pera pera…

…and that was all there is for this week.

Hm, wasn’t expecting much after reading last week’s chapter as I generally knew the overall outcome; Nagi throws a big fit demanding an answer why she isn’t ‘special’, Hayate calms her down and stuff while Chiharu, probably expected this outcome, pulls her right out of the gutter and tells her this ‘isn’t over yet’. Kind of like yo typical shonen battle manga plot devices imo. And hell was I correct.

What happens from here on out is anyone guess (even GOD’s) as Nagi declares to sell the Maria books (I. WANT. ONE.) and her doujin as separate stand-alone goods. Also this chapter pretty much wraps up the opening climax that was introduced at the start of this arc (c268) – where Nagi runs up Sunshine 60 and shouts a certain name, at that time we never heard of. How time flies…

Onto Ruka’s WINRAR doujin… HATA. PLEASE MAKE A ONE-SHOT OF THIS. Ohba-Obata already did their one shot of the manga-in-manga Otters 11 from Bakuman SO WHY NOT YOU.

Even if the set up is ridden with typicality and them classy clichés (you know, cute girls doing cute things), I really like how in this case, the MC THINKS SHE’S IMMORTAL GUDAMMIT. IT’S LIKE YUI FROM K-ON! BUT AN ACTUAL EMO.

It was too a kind of a reminiscent of Yotsubato! with Yotsuba’s eccentric behaviour, but much more so that Hata probably based off the characters to Fumi and Sharna. Haven’t seen them in a long time in the manga… (((

PS. Plus, I have no idea whether if the posters that keep popping up in the backgrounds are either references, cameos and wotnot. Though the poster on the second page looks like an Eva pilot :0

PSS. Now that I go to sixth form college and do strange part time work, I lost the privilege to keep track of the Hayate dramas (1hour14mins per ep U SHITTING ME?) so sadly I won’t able to make cynical posts about them as I planned. Maybe when I have some free time… a lot of free time.

Just so you know, Nyarth (aka Meowth) has left Team Rocket recently in the new episodes of Best Wishes. I don’t watch Pokémon really now and only knew when a thread emerged on /a/ comparing Pokémon then and Pokémon now, hence a childhood-destroyer general.

Which led me to observe the daring scene in question (episode 43 of BW, if anyone cares) and soon shocked to find out that he’s now hanging with Ash and his new comic reliefs. Alas;

Massive, infinite, amounts, of original rage, ensued.

Disheartened by the sad news, I pondered after whether this was the right fate for my favourite Pokemon (hence, my widespread use of the nipponjin name online).

Reminding myself of the old school Pokemon; Meowth never really did do anything that bad – other than lending his helping hand for Jessie/James with their retarded schemes to capture Ash’s Pikachu, and never thought of catching their a fucking wild one which was probably even better than Ash’s bog-standard own kind.

Meowth did, however, “left”  Jessie and James numerous times before, but those were trivial cases in which the team argued, split up temporarily and, after some moral enlightening lesson they reunite and live happily ever after; that’s not the case this time ’round. Apparently Meowth was in charge of some capturing scheme and failed miserable (surprisingly enough) and was FIRED by GIOVANNI HIMSELF. You know, the sous chief of Team Rocket? Such nostalgia.

But seriously, how many times have Jessie and James failed their shallow plots since episode one (203910494 times thank you very much) and get off the hook. Then comes Meowth and BAM he’s kicked the bucket. Seriously, them writer’s logic these days.

In all serious case, Meowth will now be following Ash and gang’ and be promoted as a regular side kick in the cast and is now labelled as a good guy, a type of character that I believe better suits him than anything else. But still a wild “free” Pokémon since he’s STILL not owned by anyone (heck, even Iris tried catching him after leaving no avail), which leaves me quiet sceptical as the ultimatum would’ve been set if Meowth got caught. Meaning the possibility of Meowth returning to Team Rocket and Jessie and Jame’s sidestill remains. Heck I’ll be damn if he does in later eps, but time will tell.

Oh yeah, officially changed the blog name in light of these events. Hope you like it. And if you don’t, DEAL WITH IT.

Alas, June 12th, the day of the Comic Sunday convention finally commences. Chiharu left speechless as Nagi’s booth becomes an instant hit, just as keikaku’d from Nagi’s scheme. And a sudden spike of shock leaves Nagi frozen in time just minutes in to the event…

This chapter left me a carnival of feelings in my body. Surprises, shock, horror, rage, the list goes on. Like Nagi, one thing I totally forgotten about this new arc was why Nagi chose to produce a doujinshi in the first place: Maizumi!

After the confrontation more or less about six months ago, Nagi, I think, challenged our dear Maizumi in a doujin showdown the next time they meet to who can sell the most self-produced doujinshis they can. And finally it turns out he didn’t managed to make it on time (<3)…
Wasn’t sure how to make of this, but let’s just say that my face was just like Chiharu and Nagi’s at the time. Hopefully Maizumi appears later on in the story, actually quite like the lad!

AND SUDDENLY, NEW CHARACTER.

HOLY MUTHERFUCKER HNNNNNN- 

DAT TWINTAILS. DEM FRILLS. DEM SPARKLY TEARS.

I WANT TO TAKE HER HOME.

And that’s not all!

Holy sweet jesus, I actually cried out in sheer terror shouting “QUE BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!!!!” at the heart of my room in the east of Great Britannia. It was that holy.

But seriously speaking, love how lately Hata has thrown in dozens and dozens (not literally) of references and cameos and parodies and wotnot into this lengthy and interesting story arc. Which is a surprise at first as I remembered years ago – Hata stating in the columns at the end of each volume that he wanted Hayate to be episodic, and the occasional 2-4 part story chapters. Which, at first I liked but soon after kind of gone after its expiration date. And now with all the sudden plot developments like A-tan and Nagi losing all her inheritance, just seems quite fitting for Hata to focus on lengthy story arcs and actually – develop the plot (notice how in Hayate’s world it’s still 2005/2006…).

Which then brings to our quite shocking end to this chapter, that RUKA MANAGED TO HAVE HER DOUJINSHI SOLD OUT – IN A MATTER OF MINUTES BEFORE NAGI.

This, for me was quite inevitable. As a guy who actually remembered at the beginning of this arc (c268, see last post for reference), it was quite obvious for something like this to happen. Not sure if it was a good idea for Hata to place that sudden climax scene in c268, but since it’s part of a story-telling cliche, that can be left as another debate.

Also notice how they’re all wearing the same clothes as in c268′s center colour, most predominantly Nagi’s “I AM BIG IT’S THE PICTURES THAT ARE SMALL!” shirt. But sadly, no QB cosplay present (duh).

So what’s going to happen? Well THE SCENE in c268 obviously, but after that, well, only God knows…

Pirate Asuka with her ballin’ eyepatch piloting her shiny revised Eva Unit 02 in goddamn mutherfukking space will be god-tier.

Oh, and, inb4 the movie comes out on 21st December 2012. YEAH I DUN AND SAID IT.

Nagi realises Ruka was just like her, Hina shares her wisdom, Nagi tells Chiharu she wants to be “something special” and suddenly, TWGOK reference.

This Bakuman: The Doujinshi Take-esque story arc Hata implemented to me has gone on irritatedly enough, and finally, the climax appears to be around the corner!

And yes, I’m going to try my witty best and post chapter-sodics of Hayate from now on. BECAUSE I FEEL LIKE IT.
