With the final episode of cross-cutting anime Eden of the East already aired its run on TV today in Japan, and just like Queens Blade already aired its final episode today as well, instead of having a 2nd Season green-lit, there seems to be announcements of two theatrical films going to be released in Japan. The first film, Eden of The East the Movie I: The King of Eden, will open throughout Japan on November 28, and the second film, Eden of The East the Movie II: Paradise Lost, will open in January of 2010.
As explained over at ANN;
The King of Eden to open in Japan on November 28, Paradise Lost in January
The final episode of the Eden of The East television anime series has confirmed on Thursday night that a theatrical adaptation has been green-lit — as two films. The first film, Eden of The East the Movie I: The King of Eden, will open throughout Japan on November 28. According to the official blog of the animation staff, the second film, Eden of The East the Movie II: Paradise Lost, will open in January of 2010.
I gotta say, Eden of the East is by far, one of the most original animes that I’ve ever seen, this could beat Zetsubou Sensei or Lucky Star. Even if the plot is weird and wacky, I loved every bit of it. But maybe a bit of Saki X Akira would’ve been nice… Well there’s another review I’ll be doing this weekend or so… Until I watch the final episode of course. :D
Summer anime is coming…
