Its time for another Hina-rific episode! But this will be the last episode with heavy screen time of Hina for a while…
Also a bit of trivia, this episode, as I predicted, is based off Chapters 97/98 in the manga in Volume 10. Dare I say, melancholic?
This time I feel lazy to write an original piece my myself, well basically because I have lots of other stuff to do than to think for an hour or so to write-up one… so for a substitute, here’s one from the fairly trustful site called Wikipedia;
Hinagiku wakes up and sees Hayate, and after noticing the time, becomes enraged at Hayate’s tardiness. Thus she begins to attack Hayate with the Masamune Bokken she received from Isumi. After a while, Hinagiku loses control of her emotions due to the sword and cries in Hayate’s chest. Later, Hinagiku becomes embarrassed due to losing control of her emotions, and when she asks Hayate for her present, Hayate gives her some cookies he baked. Hinagiku then proceeds with telling Hayate about how her family also left her and her sister behind with a debt of 8 million yen and how she can relate to Hayate. Hayate leads Hinagiku to the terrace and makes her look at the view to make her feel better. After seeing the beautiful sight of the city at night, Hinagiku finally realizes that she has feelings for Hayate.

I gotta say, this is just as awesome as the last episode, but kind of lose points since I already knew what would happen by reading the original manga version… (I hate it when that happens… Grrr…..), but that’s just me. And if you don’t know what I’m talking about, well I’m talking about it.
For some reason at the beginning of the episode with the scene with the expensive-looking clock and Hina, the clock seems to hold the spirit of the Narrator…
And now for the epic scenes that I’ve been coming for since the start of this episode;
Now this episode is the first episode in the 2nd series to have an extras section at the end, in which this case, the epilogue of the Hinamatsuri festival and what happened to Kotetsu (Izumi’s Butler) after would since he did commit kidnapping offense… So typically this is based upon the bonus pages you see at the end of the 9th tankobon volume. -In hopes for the Butler Network to return-
What happened to Kotetsu after the festival you ask?
But much to Hayate’s dismay, Kotetsu makes a sudden appearance and claims that he’s on probation, meaning that he got of jail legally. Somehow.
Then Hayate flips and thus ignites a fight. And that ends another godly episode. Now telling from the 14th episode preview at the end of episode 13, it looks like the producers are taking a leap from Volume 10, to the 2nd chapter of Volume 11, which will start the Saginomiya Clan Arc and then finally the Shimoda Springs Arc, which then we will see more of Hina. This means that an entire tankobon has been skipped. But even if it did, we would be then treated with episodic fillers that aren’t really that important, since the 10th Volume is basically all episodic fillers (excluding the two chapters at the beginning), but with some mini story arcs that have already been based upon in the first season, take the Mecha Butler Arc for example, which was in the 47th episode.
Meaning the highly acclaimed “The End of the World” Arc and the others including Fumi and Sharuna appearances will be soon coming.
But for now though, let us wait, relax, and enjoy the Arcs leading up to it including the White Day Arc over the horizon straight after the Shimoda Springs/Yukariko Sanzenin Arcs.
