The fourth part (or the 13th episode in the 2nd season) of the *Sigh* of Haruhi arrives with a continuation of the Brigade gradually filming parts of the film Haruhi has planned for the Cultural Festival, which the final product being Episode 00: The Adventures of Mikuru Asahina, which I was left baffled since that was the first episode of Haruhi I’d came across and watched. And gotta day, more Yuki x Mikuru in this episode (as shown above).
The Brigade +Tsuruya, Taniguchi and Kunikida go to the lake near Koizumi’s place to continue filming, despite the fact that the lake was off-limits (gates closed and locked completely).
Haruhi finds yet another eye contact. Which then repeats what happened in the previous episode as Mikuru-chan shoots yet another laser, missing everyone and slicing a chunk off the gates. Which everyone believes its just because the gates are rusty and old (since Yuki used her powers to bust open the gates to get in).
More Yuki x Mikuru action taking place in the process.
Like in the previous episode, Yuki explains to Koizumi and Kyon that she stopped Mikuru from blasting her laser and manages to make the laser evade Haruhi and the rest and instead came into the contact with the gates.
Mikuru-chan for some reason gets thrown into the dirty trash-induced lake.
-throws Mikuru-chan into said lake-
Haruhi tells Tsuruya and Tanoguchi they can go home now since they are not needed anymore, despite not being given anything to do.
We visit Kunikida’s house, which turns out to be ridiculously huge (like the houses in Hayate =P), which Haruhi decides this will be the place where they continue shooting.
This movie makes no utter sense to me anymore.
Note to self; Mikuru + Sweet Sake = Drunk and Erotic behaviour.
After learning Kunikida slipped sake into Mikuru’s drink earlier on (told to by Haruhi), thereby making Mikuru drunk and seemingly erotic and telling Koizumi to do a kiss scene with her, also better yet lightly batting her in the head for so-called “training”, Kyon had finally had enough of Haruhi’s and verbally assaults Haruhi and all that she did with her directing and bullying Mikuru-chan around.
Haruhi becomes surprised as Kyon is daring to argue with her and gets just as angry.
OMG OMG OMG KYON IS GUNNA PUNCH HARUHI’S FACE IN WAUUAHHHHHHHHHHHH-
Just when Kyon surprisingly snaps and about to punch her, just in time Koizumi manages to stop him from behind, even though having Mikuru-chan resting on him during the argument, also Mikuru-chan stepping in to tell them to stop fighting.
About to head home, Koizumi tells Kyon to follow him, as he has something to him, taking to the place where they began filming, Kyon sees that the white birds that Haruhi wanted were still there, with Koizumi explaining that she had fed them ever since. And after more talk about Haruhi and some other stuff, Kyon goes home, with Koizumi’s words etched into his head.
The next incoming day, Kyon seems rather upset, not much about what happened yeaterday, but what Koizumi said to him at the end, and after more deep thoughts during lunch, Kyon decides to confront Haruhi and head down to the Brigade’s club room.
As Kyon walks in the club room, we see Haruhi practising doing her ponytail.
Thinking we’d see Kyon apologise, we’d in fact see Kyon telling Haruhi that their film will be a success, with Haruhi smiling back and gets all motivated and back to her normal self, but even more powerful shown at the end.
Blossomed Sakura trees are shown at the end, even though its September (Fall), taking advantage of the scenery, Haruhi decides that this was the place where they do the next scene, and is then in the need for a black cat, supposedly for a witch’s familiar, even though at first Yuki was supposed to be a alien from outer space, which Kyon pleasantly points out.
Cue the ED here.
Gotta say, I thought this was going to be the last of the Sigh arc, but in fact will go on for a couple episodes more, even though with my suspicion with the absence of the OP in this episode (supposedly in-order to make more time with the episode plot). Well things are starting to shape up with the scenes they supposedly filmed in this episode the previous if you compare it to the Episode 0, and what really surprised me was that the ever-loving-cynical-cold-guy Kyon, raised his fists up at Haruhi, I guess his main intention from the start (or maybe from the Endless Eight Arc). But wow, ever since this Arc started, everybody seemed to got a bit more aggressive, I mean, Yuki attacking Mikuru-chan, Haruhi beating (lightly) Mikuru around, Kyon attempting to knock Haruhi out cold, the only person who stayed calm I guess was Koizumi, not forgetting with the sudden Kyo-Ani animation upgrade which now the quality is on the lines of K-ON!, also with Haruhi now smiling alot, compared to the first season, where everyone seems moody 24/7, like in Bleach, where everyone is always stereotypical =P.
Anyways, it seems that the next episode will be the final conclusion of this arc in making the film in time for the Cultural Festival, then with 3 or 4 more new episodes in store, that’ll be mostly about it for the second season of Haruhi (with 78% being Endless Eight). Unless, if a third season is in order…
For now I end my post.
