Alls well that ends well. 152 goals, 64 matches, 32 teams, 31 days, 16 survivors, 8 quarter-surviving teams, 4 semi-surviving teams, 1 fourth place team, 1 third place team, 1 second place team, 1 winner. FIFA World Cup 2010 South Africa turned out to be the best events relayed out this year, disregarding the terrible bad acting from all the football players and the shitty FIFA referees and linesman, overall it was a pretty good one month, an unpredictable and surprising one as well. But above all else, there was one individual that came into the spotlight inb4 the climax of the tournament, using it’s super haxor magic 8ball skills predicting the overall outcome of specific matches. Yes, it’s Paul the Octopus I’m talking about.
Without it’s superior intellect foregrounding the overall victors of certain matches, this World Cup wouldn’t have been that interesting. Disregarding as well Mikey the Hamster who attempted to steal Paul’s spotlight by claiming that Netherlands would win the final match (and LOL he was wrong), Paul (in my eyes) was the true winner of this years world cup and deserves to recieve a post devoted entirely to him. Well here ya goo. After lurking around the nets as well as Flyff’ing and simultaneously watching Spain vs Netherlands, I’ve found several anon mint illustrations depicting the smart and epic Octopus and Spain, the (virgin) victors of this years world cup.
