Nope.avi, I am not doing the ole’ episodic weekly post of Zombie, heck or any anime this season, plainly because I just don’t have the time. Also note that I AM watching several series this season and a manditory impressions post (also Fall Review post, still dusty in the drafts) will be typed up in February, once exams are over for the term.
Anyhow, I was able to spare enough time to make a Zombie episodic (episode 3) as it is the first “HNNG!” worthy episode this season. Credit goes to /a/ for the screens and the anime denizens of Twitter for source of motivation.
Dare I say DEEN has done themselves proud this season. But anyway DID YOU SEE THIS WEEKS KORE WA ZOMBIE?? SWEET JESUS HNRNNMMHPH CAN’T CONTAIN MY NUTBLADDER—
Save for the summary since I guess you know the basic plotline for this series – Aikawa’s friend (forgot his name) at last finds out that he has a harem of 3 bishojos living in his home and heart broken by the fact that he didn’t tell him, also the peculiar girls play an array of fun classic family games. Games…
Jenga. A game where you remove blocks from a patternly arranged tower and compile it up, until a loser is made where he/she knocks the tower down. Obviously the RIGHT way to play the game is presented above.
Twister. A game where up to four players get bundled up into a orgyfest on a colour spotted mat. But surely it’s better to play as with presented above.
Now I dunno about you, but when it comes to fanservice these days, what instantly happens is that I facepalm.gif. From the traditional cliches of un/intentional panty shots and “accidental” perverted situations to cliche walk-in tropes and typical high pitched Japanese schoolgirl shrieks, it all just seems the same. Rehashed, recycled, ????, profit. Dirty profit garbage. However, Zombie is surprisingly different. It has this strange sense of abnormality that pulls you in, it’s weak sense of progression of plot and the typical character roster, surrounded by that invisible barrier between it and the rest of the anime world… whether it’d be the work of DEEN or the author, regardless of the known fact that Zombie is no lesser than K-ON! in its story phase, I actually find Zombie pretty enjoyable to watch and the service not that bad, appealing to all the veteran’s taste. Busty, DFC, atypical, may sound like your usual Sora no Otoshimono (hence, DAT CROSSOVER), but rather more supernatural, and wing-less.
They also play what seems to be high tension tennis with weapons, fighting for the last PUDDI PUDDI. In the end, Yuu ate it anyhow :P
Anyway, what really caught my attention in this episode is the dazzling array of fanservice on offer, credit going to Aikawa’s friend (still not remembering his name) but in all due manner, he has pretty good taste in panty preferences. Enjoy the caps!
White, fluttery and innocent. Sweet!
T-back, or otherwise the thong. GOD THERE GOES MY BLADDER-
and the best of them all…
I FUCKING CAME! I LOVE YOU DEEEN!!!
OH CRAP MY BLADDER AGAIN-
In other news, Aikawa’s friend suddenly takes center stage in the latter half as we get to know his “imouto that never was”, Kiyouko!. What’s so great about here I ask? SHE HAS FUCKING TWIN TAILS MUTHERFUKKER!!!
As you all may have known, I have recently been enlightened and have come to accepting my fetish for Twintails! And thus, to lay it out to everyone I’ve changed the blog title to something moar suitable in this time and place, not forgetting the complete design overhaul, haha!
Anyway, Kiyouko is amazing. Her twintails and her surprisingly bonus delicious chest. A girl with twintails is a general seal of approval for me! I feel for Aikawa, he shares the same desires as me, he has good tastes! ^_^
But just as I know, a lot like Aikawa (but not a zombie), Kiyouko reveals to be a fellow victim of the serial killer! GASP. ACTUAL PLOT PROGRESSION FROM HERE ON? Perhaps. Alas, the reason why she’s hospitalised in that weird abandoned hospital.
Spoilers if you haven’t watched this far, it shows that Kiyouko knows and fully saw her attempted killer, known to have pale blue eyes, same age as her wears plated armour around her body and had a permanant poker-face. Who could’ve been the killer? Why would anyone kill such a godly twintailed character? Who could’ve even done such a thing?? Aikawa probably knows from the fact of his reaction face.
But well, in all due formal manner, Kiyouko was probably talking about Yuu, y’know that silent amour wielded girl with a different VA in Aikawa’s fantasies each week? Looking at it in this perspective, it sparks some major hypocritism and confusion. Firstly, it’s hard to believe that Yuu is the killer, after seeing how Yuu ressurect Aikawa who was actually killed by the serial, and the way Yuu embracingly slapped Haruna last episode saying that death is painful. Second, look at her! She has the angel of a face!- wait- the face of an angel! She couldn’t possibly use her sword and weaponry to harm the innocent..! third and last, well there isn’t. I felt like sounding smart thar :P
Anyhow, Zombie is shaping up to be a great series this season, interested to see how Deen will conclude this at the end of March and if they’ll actually reveal the killer and Yuu’s background, heck – even if it isn’t officially revealed in the books, an open ending is more inevitable…
Speaking of Yuu, I wonder if she really talks, moreover, who’s the VA who voices the grunts and murmurs Yuu occasionally makes…
In other news…
PUDDI makes a cameo.
